Bylaws

Article I--General Provisions

Section 1. The full name of the organization is AMERICAN CHINESE APPAREL & FOOTWEAR ASSOCIATION CHINA BRANCH(hereinafter call as ACAFA)
Section 2. ACAFA consists of American traders, Chinese manufacturers, relevant enterprises and some large-scale, non-government organizations, who devote to foster the sino-US trade relationships.
Section 3. The purpose of ACAFA is to abide by the laws and regulations of both countries, follow the international practices, to form industry self-regulation and strengthen the communication and coordination between community and government, to be a link between Chinese manufacturers and American traders.
Section 4. The headquarter of ACAFA shall be in USA: 8541 Wellford PL.Suite D.Santa Fe Springs,CA90670 USA。

Article II--Mission

Section 5. ACAFA’s mission is:
1) To popularize the national policy, law and regulations for members, transmit the wishes and requests of its members to the authority.
2) To formulate self-regulations and standards of the industry and put them in practice, harmonize the relations among the members, promote the communication and coordination of the members, maintain the whole interest of the members.
3) To launch trade information collection, systematization, statistics and analysis; Research and map out long-term development plans for the membership.
4) To organize activities beneficial for the US markets expansion, products display, order-placing meeting and Chinese producers who shall go abroad for Sino-US commercial intercourse.
5) To organize activities for the manufacturers bases in China, such as coordination of the processes R & D, production, quality inspection and supply, facilitate the American traders to promote the bilateral business in China.
6) To take part in popularizing the global market, reinforce the international exchange and cooperation with the worldwide, commercial organizations, and make positive contributions to the economic globalization.
7) To edit and publish ACAFA publications, promote information exchange by internet.
8) To maintain the whole interests of the members, bring the superiority of team into full play.
9) To do your duties to undertaking all the obligations and services trusted by ACAFA.

Article III--Membership

Section 6. The applicants should meet the following criteria to become the members of ACAFA:
1) To abide by the law, regulations of both countries and agree with this bylaws.
2) Be willing to join ACAFA, to take part in ACAFA’s activities and support ACAFA’s work.
3) The enterprise applicants are legal enterprises approved by government.
4) Membership types: basic membership, silver membership, gold membership.(See details attached)
Section 7 . The procedure of membership admission is:
The applicants accord with the requirements of 1), 2), 3) of Section of 6 above shall get approval and member certificate and tablet after review.
Section 8 . Members of ACAFA have the following rights:
1) With the right to vote, to stand for election, and to make comment.
2) With the right to make advice and monitoring in relation to the operation of ACAFA.
3) With the priority to obtain services provided by ACAFA.
4) With the right to participate in ACAFA’s activities.
5) With other rights in accordance with this bylaws.
6) With the right to join or terminate the membership.
Section 9 . Members of ACAFA should carry out the following obligations:
1) To implement obligations of this bylaws and pursue resolution of ACAFA.
2) To safeguard ACAFA’s reputation and members’legal rights.
3) To participate in ACAFA organized activities actively.
4) To pay membership fee according to related regulations.
5) To reflect related information, and provide true materials for ACAFA.
6) To make comment and advice, make contribution for the development of ACAFA.
Section 10 . Members who want to terminate the membership must inform ACAFA in written notification in advance and return certificates and tablets. Any member who fails to pay membership fee to ACAFA on schedule will be henceforth regarded as automatic secession.
11) Any infringement against the bylaw of ACAFA conducted by any member shall be excluded from the organization after the Board's approval.

Article IV--Principles of ACAFA

12) ACAFA shall strictly stick to principles of self-establishment, self-finance, self-management and set a goal for pursuing effective services and maintain the long-term interests of members.


Article V--Organization

13) Refer to the organization chart to figure out ACAFA's organization directly.

Article VI--Supplementary Articles

14) Insofar as meaningful, the Secretariat of ACAFA reserves the right to interpret of these bylaws.
