The 8th China (Guangzhou) International Footwear Expo (CantonSF) has been hold on the 3rd-7th, May, 2009 at the Poly World Trade Centre, Hall 2. The fair was organized by Guangdong Donnor Exhibition Co., Ltd., and was supported by People’s government of Huidong County, Wenzhou Shoes & Leather Association, Guangzhou Shoes Chamber, Huizhou Shoe Manufacturers Association, Hongkong Shoe Association and Taiwang CCPIT.
The total exhibiting area is 10,000 sqm. Nearly 300 exhibitors home and abroad joined the fair and 90% are manufacturers. The main exhibitors source is Guangzhou, Zhejiang, Fujian, three shoe producing bases in China. The exhibits are mainly finished shoes, including man\woman shoes, children shoes, sports shoe, leisure shoes, boots, skating boots, cloth shoes, indoor shoes, slippers, functional shoes,ect. Some famous Chinese sports shoe brands like Jodan, Anta, 361°, Deerhui have all gathered at the fair.
In view of the financial blow on China’s shoe industry, the organizer initiates the strategy of “developing domestic market”, providing an experimental pool for those go through the transformation from the oversea market to domestic market. To carry out the strategy, the organizer has presented us altogether 16 fashion shows, which were supported by 12 famous brands and their latest products. This is not only a payback to the exhibitors, but also a perfect chance for those enterprises to enhance the profile of their brands.
This fair has also received great support from the peoples’ government of China’s sports shoe capital---Chendai Town of Jinjian City. Few local leaders not only brought their well-known shoe brands on to the fair, but also held a “China’s Shoe Capital·Jinjian Chendai Town Shoe Producing Industrial Promotion Seminar”, which attracted a lot of local medias come to report. The support from the government shows the strength and the potentiality of the CantonSF.
To guarantee the benefits of both the exhibitors and visitors, the organizer implied real-name invitation on one hand, and called on the department stores, wholesale markets, and associations on the other hand. Group Visitors from Liaoning, Shandong, Guangxi, Shenzhen, Zhenzhou, ect were all showing up at the fair for the first time.
The environment and the atmosphere of the fair site also has been greatly improved this time. To save the time and energy of the visitors, three free shuttle buses have been sent out to pick up visitors over from the 105th Canton Fair.
The 2009 Guangzhou Leather, Shoe Material, and Bag Accessories Expo-autumn session has been hold at the same time and same place.
