Market Backgrounds:
1. When comes to shoes manufacturing, the Pearl River Delta ,centered in Dongguan, which is known as the biggest base for finished shoes ,relating information, materials, machinery, hardware and chemicals can never be underestimated as world shoes purchasing and processing center. Statistic showed that every more than 13 million leather shoes been produced in the area, accounting for 53 percent of the national output and total shoes output more than 26 million, contributing more than 51 percent with the annual export value over 40 million.
2. Presently, the area takes its lead in shoes industry either in standard, scale, quality or in innovation owing to its advantaged location being adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao. The Pearl River Delta takes its full advantage in fashion trend and newest materials applying, which enable the area takes the lead in products design and technology innovation to become the biggest base of shoes. Nowadays, there are 1800 shoes factories, companines of relating raw materials, leather, machinery more than 2000, and shoes developing center more than 650 with the stores over 3000 and 5 professional raw material market in the Pearl River Delta area. Statistics shows that 65 percent of brand shoes in the world was made in Dongguan. For this reason, a lot of overseas purchasing parties come and live in Dongguan to find their business.
3. 2006 Dongguan International Shoes & Technology Fair sponsored by Guangdong Leather Industry Association and Good Exhibition Co., which will be held simultaneously with the Canton Fair ,from Apr 21 to 23 ,would be the biggest scaled professional exhibition of shoes in South China . In the exhibition, all kinds of brand shoes, the newest production technology, equipment and machinery will be showed. It''''s estimated that the exhibition will take up about 500 standard booths with exhibiting scale more than15, 000 square meters.
